Digital weapons licences

Import and export licences for weapons are granted by the Danish Police as digital licences. This means that licenses no longer carry stamps and signatures.

Import and export licences for weapons are granted by the Danish Police as digital licences. This means that licenses no longer carry stamps and signatures. In other words, the authenticity and validity of licences do not depend on police stamps and signatures. 

Firearms licences can be checked in the Internal Market Information System (IMI) when firearms are to be imported to and exported from the EU.
